I must apologise to all club members. I've been so busy writing to earn money to pay bills that I haven't had time to add any content in what seems like 'forever'. I am sorry.

I have something that will make it up to members and will provide incredible value. So please be on the look out for an email. It is one that you don't want to delete or not read.

There will be changes to the club and it may be that I close the membership site and leave it via email only as that may be easier to manage. I'll let you know.

In the meantime do keep an eye out for the club email as it will be value packed and worth the wait:)

I'm so sorry that I've been AWOL and not participating in blog trains or adding to the membership but I have been poorly and busy with my freelance biz which has taken off!

Anyway to make it up to you I thought it would be fun to participate in the CSD March CU Blog Train.

Sitting here looking out at blue skies and watching the snow melt whilst suffering the terrible windy smells that Millie is wafting my way I'm having some fun before I get back to housework and then work.

Digiscrap stores are closing every month and designers are leaving by the dozen. Digiscrap designing takes many hours of designing, quality checking, packaging and adding to blogs or stores. Promotion adds to the time spent. Many designers earn very little for their work and yet they continue to design and provide free digiscrap downloads and resources for you as they love what they do. By showing your appreciation you help keep them inspired and creating.

Free Digiscrap Resources: World Wide Christmas Blog Train

I like to give you free digiscrap resources each month and I know that the past month I haven't as things got hectic and I was going to close the blog. However, I am going to keep the blog and club going as best as I can and give the members their free gifts each month and participate in the monthly blog trains. I love the fact that I get to create and give gifts. However, I will be giving creative resources away at the My Personal Tutor site too as they'll be awesome for all sorts of creative uses from classroom resources to digiscrapping. Don't you just love multi-purpose?!

I've said it before and I know I'll say it at least one more time this year but where has the year gone? I truly cannot believe that we are into December already. I've accomplished a lot this year but have so much more to get done!

My intentions are to give new free digiscrap resources away each week during December and I will be ensuring that all missing content is added to the membership site for all levels of membership. It just takes a lot of time and I have a lot of work for clients that has to take priority as it puts the food on our table and clothes on our backs!

For the World Wide Christmas Blog Train this year I've gone with winter as that will mean that the resources are perfect for everyone regardless of their faith or nationality. Don't panic however as there will Christmas goodies appearing too!

Today I'm presenting you with the gift of two free digiscrap templates. They come in psd and tiff formats and there are two versions of the psd files; shadowed and non-shadowed.

As you know Amanda & Millie are resigning and this blog is closing. Time constraints mean that there just isn't enough time for us to do justice to the blog and you. However, as we'll be creating teaching and learning resources and we think that art and craft plus hands on and creative learning are essential we will be creating resources for our education business. Amanda has therefore decided that participating in the blog trains to share some of the templates and other resources she'll be creating would be an awesome idea so please look out for our new brand (not a very digiscrapping name we'll admit), My Personal Tutor. The blog hop gifts will be available from the My Personal Tutor blog (which isn't quite ready to open yet!). However, the URL is http://mypersonaltutor.org so bookmark it as if you love our designs then that's were you'll find us. Why continue under a non-digiscrapping brand? Learning and teaching should be creative and hands on. Digiscrapping resources are so versatile and can be used to create displays, record keeping documents, books, worksheets... Children can use the digiscrapping resources, including layout templates, to create their own notebooking pages, memory pages and projects. In fact it could be a wonderful way to create memories as a family by getting students of all ages and stages creating together. If you are a club member I will be seeing if there is a way to transfer the club membership info across to the new site so that you can continue to access materials there. The newsletter will change to My Personal Tutor Creative Learning and the focus will be on creative learning and teaching resources. If you want to receive those newsletters then you don't need to do anything. If you don't want to receive them then please do unsubscribe there's always a link in the newsletter. I hope that many of you will follow me across to my new digi home and join me on this new venture, especially if you have children. There are two blog trains that we are signed up to for departure on January 1st and the World Wide Digital Scrapbooking Christmas Blog Train departs December 1st. They won't be here at Amanda & Millie Designs but will be over at My Personal Tutor. Whatever we create will be suitable for digiscrapping and learning and teaching.

It’s Time to Say Goodbye Plus Two Digiscrapping Domains For Sale

As my loyal followers and friends in the digiscrap world will know my health hasn't been good this past year and although it's improving slowly I have so much work in my freelance business that I am struggling to fit designing in without letting my family down and jeopardizing my health again. I also have an awesome opportunity for my private tuition and educational resource business which is how I got into digiscrapping and this opportunity is too huge to turn down. It is with sadness therefore that I have to announce that Amanda & Millie Designs are closing the doors on their digiscrapping. We will still be creating awesome kits and resources but they will be tailored for our educational resources first and foremost and may be offered for sale through our education business. We have announced the sale of the two Digiscrap Nation domains as well as a huge opportunity to purchase the domain(s) with a premium Woo Theme of their choice. Woo Themes are a premium range of themes with commerce versions available and a plugin to add that feature to any of their themes. These premium themes sell for $70.00. Retro Chic – Free Digiscrapping Mini Kit

Finally, I got my Quest 2 mini finished for Scrapping Fairytales' Design Quest. It was touch and go as I stupidly hurt my wrist Sunday night and using the computer or doing most things... hurts! Inspiration for the Retro Chic mini came to me whilst standing waiting for my hubby to finish picking the fixings he needed to install the new sink in our downstairs cloakroom. I was just looking around at the home decor section and then I saw it! Wallpaper. It had the perfect colour for my pop and a bird in a cage. My mind started whirling and I realised that when coupled with the grey it was a very retro palette and I was off;) There's something new I want to try with my designing. It's been niggling at me for months and just growing in urgency. I created this kit with that 'new' idea in mind. Hopefully I'll find time to implement it asap as I'm so excited. The mini is available to download for free until 23:59 SFT store time (there's a clock on the store site!) Monday, 22nd October in the Design Quest 2 gallery. For club members I'll be posting it in the Gold members' area. It will go into Bronze Month 3 on Tuesday, 23rd October.

Autumn Air – Free Digiscrapping Templates

I've never taken part in a Facebook Hop so this was new to me. However, I installed an app on the Amanda & Millie Designs' Facebook page, added a custom graphic to show what was happening on the page and even added some custom code. Ok the code was provided but I managed to follow the instructions and insert all the links in the correct places, post the code and see what I was supposed to see! Hopefully you will too. Here's what you can download for free from each designer's Facebook page. Aren't they incredible? Just Wondering!

So I'm sitting here pondering on Quest 2's theme, pop colour, whether it's time for another mug of tea and to bake those brownies I promised to make and suddenly it occured to me that I have a burning desire to know something that only you can tell me! What do you like in a scrapbook kit? What style of kit is your favourite? Are you a whimsical fan? Perhaps a realistic extraction fan? Do you prefer bold designs or delicate, watercolour illustrations? Are you a fan of doodled kits? What exactly do you like and look for in a kit? I'll go first. I love different styles for different moods which is so unhelpful to me as instead of having one style to design I go with how I'm feeling at that moment! I'm happy with that as I always have a surprise when the kit is finished but is that a good thing? What do you think? I really love flowers and clusterability plus a touch of bling does appeal to the girl in me! LOL So what about you? What do you look for in a kit? What style of kit do you prefer? I'm now in need of that tea and those brownies I've yet to make. I think the need for comfort food stems from the fact that my blood test this morning ended in a blood bath with my blood not just going into the vial but everywhere and with the nurse ending up telling me (a self-confessed blood test phobic) not to open my eyes until everything had been cleaned up as it looked terrible! Oh and don't forget that you can still download Wicked until Monday 15th October over at Scrapping Fairytales' Design Quest Gallery.
